INITIAL Partnership A Tremendous success
We were thrilled to have celebrated a significant milestone in our mission. In early January 2024, the Anthony Acevedo Educational Foundation, in collaboration with the Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio and the San Antonio Public Library, hosted a memorable read-through event of the full-length version of Undesirable Secrets.
This powerful play, written by Rodolfo Alvarado and commissioned by our foundation, brought to life the extraordinary journey of Anthony C. Acevedo and the poignant story of The Forgotten Soldiers of Berga. The event provided a deeply moving experience, honoring Anthony’s resilience, the sacrifices of his fellow soldiers, and the importance of preserving their legacy for future generations.
Following this powerful read-through, it became clear that a monodrama format would enhance the immediacy and emotional depth of Anthony’s story, allowing audiences to experience his journey in a more intimate and personal way. This transformation strengthens our mission, ensuring that his story is not just told but deeply felt.
We are grateful to everyone who attended and supported this event, helping us keep Anthony Acevedo’s story alive. Stay connected for more opportunities to experience Undesirable Secrets as we continue our mission of remembrance and education.

SUPPORT OUR ONGOING ENDEAVOR
Demand that the President of the United States recognize the Forgotten Soldiers of Berga in the White House by signing our petition.
Held in the Nazi concentration camp Berga an der Elster after their capture during the Battle of the Bulge, The Forgotten Soldiers of Berga, including Anthony C. Acevedo, were made to sign a Security Certificate forbidding them from talking about Berga. The United States government and Army did not recognize their being held captive until 2009, sixty-four years after their liberation.
